Common responsibilities of a Food Technologist

Food Technologists are primarily responsible for ensuring quality value added food products are produced for sale to the consumer. The food technologist working in the area of seafood research will be responsible for sourcing fish and ingredients, carrying out lab-work, research and investigations; dealing with industry enquiries, writing up the results of the research for publication and participating in international events and workshops relating to seafood.
