The Shellfish Farmer is typically responsible for the:
Daily control of the state and health of the farm environment (e.g. could be addressing issue of possible pollution of water/area)
Implementation of tasks pertaining to the ultimate production of the product (packaging activities, product positioning/marketing and identification and distribution to different markets and clients)
Maintaining high level quality tools and instruments, necessary for the job and the advanced technologies applied (e.g. In the company, ALMAR, harvesting of the clams is realised using tailored specific machines designed and built internally (inside the company). They do not use the typical well known "dredge")
