For this sector there is currently only a few training initiatives provided by the Public Administration and ESF (Aquaculture in the Lagoon and in Shellfish Farming). Consequently, training initiatives are mainly designed, organised, implemented and funded by private companies interested in such activities. These companies invest use of their own internal financial resources, in an attempt to further training and development in this specific sector. For these initiatives, specific professionals are sought out to teach. They usually come from universities and in the case of ALMAR, usually from the Trieste area and specialised Research Institutes. The main recommendation provided for those working in, or interested in this sector is to study and read sectoral magazine and reviews, paying particular attention to USA production, which has advanced research studies in this area
