AQUA-TNET is the Aquaculture, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Thematic Network in Education and Training
AQUA-TNET unites academic and vocational aspects of the Bologna reforms and the establishment of the European Higher Education Area. The network is funded under the European Commission Socrates Erasmus Programme, from 2005-2008.
Network
The network consists of 118 partners, representing universities, training organisations, associations and research institutions. The project consists of six themed workpackages, prioritising themes in education and training, encapsulating the changes taking place in all three Bologna cycles. Small dynamic working groups meet regularly to develop specific products and results for the network.
The network is service by AquaTT. This service platform includes the AQUA-TNET Education portal www.aquatnet.com, monthly AQUA-TNET newsletter alonside the established Training News, BibMail, Information of Interest and PiscesTT Jobs.

Results and deliverables
Network deliverables consider elements from the Bologna, Copenhagen and Lisbon processes for the benefit of the entire sector, and will involve the production sector, consumers, educationists, researchers and NGOs

The AQUA-TNET education portal provides the network members with information, resources and services, and also serves as a dissemination platform for the work of the Network

Training News, a monthly electronic newsletter that provides updates and announcements on training and education initiatives, workshops, courses, conferences and upcoming industry events

PiscesTT Jobs is an online recruitment service for employers and potential employees in aquaculture and related sciences. Using a secure website, employers can advertise vacancies and prospective employees can post CV's and apply for jobs.

BibMail is a biweekly updated overview of the content tables of the major aquaculture-relevant scientific journals

Information of Interest is a biweekly updated overview of interesting publications, reports and manuals relating to aquaculture in a broad sense, including links to the resources.
