A farm located in the north part of Poland is the chosen location for this virtual tour. The farm is located in “Czarci Jar”, which means “Devil’s Canyon” in English. The farm is located in a small valley, and surrounded by a deep forest. The spring of the Drweca River flows near the farm. The farm is divided into two parts – the trout section and the carp section.
The farm was established in 1956. At the beginning, the farm was used for production of cold-water finfish species, mainly rainbow trout. Later, other fish species i.e. Atlantic salmon, brown trout and sea trout were also cultured on the farm. Now, the farm cultures many finfish species, some for commercial purposes, and others are used for producing stocking material.
