Why Quarantine the new seahorses?
The current supply of seahorses undergoes a full health check prior to introduction into the recirculation system, in order to prevent the possible entry of a pathogen. They are placed in a special quarantine room in separate tanks and are carefully monitored for a length of time. This is important to prevent possible sick seahorses infecting healthy animals.
