The main production in the the UK is focused on atlantic salmon, which is grown mostly on the west coast  of Scotland, in Orkney and in Shetland. There is also a significant production of rainbow trout grown throughout the UK with concentrations in southern England, Yorkshire and Scotland.  There are small quantities grown of carp, brown trout, arctic char, sea bass, cod, turbot and halibut.
